I'm trying to remove the conical screw from the left side of the head shift rod. There isn't much space and I don't want to ruin the screw. The allen key seems too long/wide to get the screw off. What is the best way to do it?
Thanks ![]() Kees. ![]() |

slice off about half the length of that allen wrench. on the short end of course. probably need to slip a short length of metal tube or something over the wrench for some leverage to crack the screw loose.

You could also loosen the other end of the shift rod @ the coupler (mark it's position first w/a sharpie so you can easily reset) so you can rotate the shift rod 90 degrees for easier access to the allen screw @ the front...

Thank you all.
Cutting down the allen wrench worked perfectly. ![]() |
