Anyone running 215/60/15 up front?

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone has any feedback regarding running 215/60/15 tires up front on 7x15 fuchs?

I am currently running 205/55/15 (7x15 fuch) up front and 225/50/15 in back (8x15 fuch)

I would be switching the rears to 225/60/15

The car is a 78 911sc

Thanks

I used to on my old '72 w/ 235/55 x15 on 8 in back, it was ok at stock 911 ride height and suspension for that year.

Why do you want to go to taller tires?

I'm limited to what's available and thought a meatier tire might look cool. I would also like to go a little wider up front

All in all I liked 205/50 & 225/50 better, 205/55 x15 would be a little taller than the 205 /50

Any comments on change in handling or ride? Any problems with rubbing?

My memory was wrong, i have 215-60-15 on the rear and 205-60-15 on the front, my 79 sc has 930 brakes that requirers spacers, sorry for the confusion. I was lucky enough to have a neighbor that works at a tire store and let me test fit them first to see how they fit before i bought them. you might have clearance issues on the front with the 215s i would recommend 205s. Coming from 205 50 and 225 50s it is much softer ride and fine around town and on the highway, i wouldn't use them for auto x. I do like the look better than the 50 series but you will give up handling. It was a inexpensive experiment and i still have the other tires to install if i want, i think i paid around $400 for the set mounted and balanced.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1421526988.jpg
