NoVa Fun Run #3 Update

Hey NoVa Pelicanheads -

Since my wife hasn't gone into labor yet I was able to "test" about half of the route I have laid out for our next Fun Run (to be held on 11/17) today on the way to the PCA event in White Post.

Let me just say this: you better be strapped in tight for a few of these roads as they will make parts of Fun Run 1 and Fun Run 2 seem like a leisurely drive. I can honestly say that I think I left my shorts on the side of the road after a few of the turns and hills.

BTW, we are already up to 14 participants and there are still a number of the regulars that I haven't yet heard from. I'm guessing we'll be closer to 20 (if not more) when the day finally gets here.

See you on the 17th at the starting line (I mean meeting place!)

Doug E, are helmets, harnesses and roll bars needed for Fun Run #3? :D I got a little loose on one turn during the last run while setting the pace for the "stragglers". Lu's laughter is still fresh in my memory...:(

Come on Jim . . . that was a power slide ;)

Doug--

I don't remember if I got back to you, but depending on whether the sniper kills the rest of my son's football season, I'm a maybe. We're scheduled to visit Averett U. in Danville that weekend, but if they catch the sniper the football season will resume and be extended through that weekend, in which case I'll be here.

Jim-- I had no trouble in the corners with my "real" 911. ;)

Maybe we need to coax Lu to drive for the next fun run. Either that or it's off to Driver's Ed for me!

It must be due to your missing torsion bars, Jim.

Jim Richards 10-21-2002 11:44 AM

Yeah, that's it. ;)
