As it is, I haven't read Excellence in about 4 months. Been working exclusively on this silly book!

prefer sans serif
For whatever reason the text in the second case looked denser, as in more contrast and easier on the eyes.
I was surprised that side-by-side I preferred the sans much more. Wouldn't have thought it to be such a pronounced difference. Can you modify font sizings to accomodate differences in spacing that would affect layout? Nice layout by the way. |
I voted for #2, but my personal preference would be WING DING:-)
I plan to buy the book as soon as it comes out and either font will be fine. Oh yeah, the LA times sux unless you are a bleeding heart liberal environmentalist tree hugger protected minority group special interest lobbyist supporting constitution-hating anti-gun protester berkley alum (just my opinion, sorry for the unexpected rant). PS no offence intended to anyone who happens to fit in one of the afformentioned categories. Oh, the LA Times also makes a point of calling at least twice a week to offer me a free subscription for a month, usually calling exactly at dinner time. But I'm not bitter...... |
Serifs are MUCH easier to read. This has been "proven" through numerous readability experiments.
I don't know what you sans guys are smokin'. |
I too prefer a sans-serif font. Hey, I'm an old fart and need all the help I can get!
I've ordered your B&W copy earlier this week (Thomas took the order) and I look forward to getting it in any font you wish. Your 101 projects book is excellent, thanks for combining all the data for us owners that want to do all we can, to keep driving as long as we can! Best regards Gary. |
Sans Serif gave me a headache trying to read it. Go with the tried and true Serif style.
