Need HELP please ! History of US car 911 T 2.4 VIN : 9113103074

Bonjour,

I am the new happy and proud owner of this unrestored pristine 1973 US 911 2.4 T/E.

Also the car was exported from the US to the netherlands in 1998...

I am trying to rebuild the history of the car in the US.
Previous owners, mileage, original document...

How/where would you advise me to search ?
PCA ? forums ?

The 'carfax' started in 1981...

I need help please.

The VIN is 911 3 103074

Many thanks in advance !!

Lovely Car. Saw it for sale online at OPC classics in Holland. Thats where I´d start and try work backwards from there. If you can trace it back to the importer you might be able to get a name of the seller stateside.

Unfortunately the 911T Registry site was shut down a few years back due to Hacking. All the information seems to have been lost.
You could get some information regarding the COA from Porsche. It is difficult to trace history anymore. Motor vehicle records in the United States have been restricted to protect owner privacy.

Well spotted ! The car was sold by OPC (Netherlands) to a French dealer.
You do have a real good accurate sens of vision and memory !

When I bought the car, I had a LOTS of invoices, so I contacted this morning the garage which maintained the car for the last 18 years in Netherlands.

He gave me the name of the NL dealer who imported the car nearly 20 years ago.
I am about to write to them !

The quest continue. This is great.
The car runs brilliant, the engine is smooth, the handling perfect and the body is just in a real good condition of conservation.

Best regards, and many thanks for your advice.

Hi and welcome.

Great looking car you have there.

I have been trying to do the same thing recently. Mine is a 77 911S that went to San Francisco Porsche in Oct 77. That's all I have from my Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.

I also tried Carfax but quickly discovered that my car was too old. I even emailed every Porsche dealer in California which was a long shot I know. No luck there but I was bowled over by how many replied to my email with suggestions and places to start looking. That could be something you could try too, you never know?

One place I am still trying to get info from in the Californian DMV (I think that's the correct name). From what I have read there is a small fee to pay but it's worth a shot too.

Good luck and keep us posted.
Jason.
