Anyone put a Throttle Position sensor on a Weber IDA (Or Zenith TIN)?
 

I was think about adding a Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) to my Zenith TIN carburetors. There are a lot of inexpensive TPS for GM & Ford, that can be coupled with an Innovate SSI-4 sensor integrator. That would let me monitor AFR, Throttle Position and rpm. Might be an interesting tuning tool.

Has anyone set up a TPS on a Webber IDA, PMO carb, or Zenith TIN?

Does the PMO ITB setup use a shaft driven TPS that would be interchangeable with the carb version?

VFR750...have you received any replies (PM etc, etc) to your post?
I have same situation, want to add TPS to my Weber IDA40s.

Currently surfing online and looking at other kits for other carbs...all would require mods to fit a 911/IDA40 setup. Like you, was thinking that SOMEONE would have done this already for a carb'd 911 PCar.

Re the PMO setup, after talking to them about their TPS sensor & also looking closely at pics of how the TPS is mounted to the PMO, I believe they have designing the ITB casing so as to be able to mount the TPS sensor directly to the housing of the throttle bodies...said another way, it isn't just the shaft that is different on the PMOs if you are thinking of adapting their setup to use with carbs.

I figure I will take the carbs to a auto parts store and see what they have. The GM style seem to have an external lever that could be used, but the left and right carbs rotate in the opposite directions. I don't know if you could reverse the signal.

Plus the cabling and connector needs to be sorted out.
