I think I'm going to Publix too. My car is quite easy to spot, really low dark blue 69 S (no spoilers or anything on it). I'll be looking for Ted (86 black targa).
Nos vemos maņana, Juan

Greeat !
Thanks Juan....BTW, the "other" Florida Juan(Ruiz) will be there too with his mega HP 3.2. I suggested he park his car and just leave the deck lid open. I'll shoot some digi stills and post them here.

Just a note to thank Ted for his enthusiasm and getting us to come to the PCA activity today. He drives a very nice targa and is a charming guy. I look forward to seeing you next weekend at the AutoX.
I finally saw Juan Ruiz turbo and I must say that is one neat modification. It looks (in my opinion) better than a factory job.... and the concours judges agreed by awarding him Best in Class for 1980's cars. The paint job helps too as it is superb. I didn't do that bad either as I got Best in Class with my 69 S on 1960's class. I also met Ben (sorry I forgot your screen name) who has a real neat Targa with a superb paint job and quite a unique engine in there (I will not publish details, I'll let him do that!). I'll post some pictures later on a different post. Anyone has the contact details of the fellow on the Tan 69 911E? I misplaced them and have a photo I'd like to email him. Juan

Thanks to both Juans. Superb Day!
Thanks to both Juans for showing up! Juan Ruiz I now think of as 505 Juan (for the rear wheels HP he has masterfully created). PLUS....Both took 1st place concours class honors ! For those waaay out in the left coast, we in So. Florida have a great bunch too. 50 cars showed up on picture perfect day.
Ervikingo's '69 is an absolute jewel ! I'll post some pics on Monday including 505 Juan, his engine and a classic Spyder replica that showed up out of nowhere. Thus puppy has 2.7 plant in a fiberglass body & VW frame that tips the scales at 1350 Lbs. It was a people magnet for sure. Cheers Ted in So Fla 86 Carrera Targa Blk/Blk Hope to see both Juans at our AutoX next sat. Last edited by FlaCarrera; 10-20-2002 at 08:32 PM.. |
