RACE GAS | Racing Fuel Concentrate

I had the TV on Velocity the other day and there was some show on covering some auto trade show and innovative products.

They had this guy on who founded this race has company. He caught my attention because he said he started the company after two bad experiences buying race gas for his 944 track car. He said he ruined a piston due to old gas.

So his product is race gas in a can. 2 oz will raise the octane level of 1 gallon of regular fuel by 4 points.

I was just thinking this sounded interesting so I thought I'd pass it on.

Anyone tried it before? Any experience to share?

A MC roadracing pal of mine has a sponsorship deal with Klotz. I don't know about the stuff above but Klotz does offer some of the nasty fun race chemicals in a can for a price.
It is not the cheap autoparts store gimmick junk.

Never heard of Klotz but I'm not a racing guy (yet?).

I remember reading here that ethanol-free gas is getting more scarce and even when it is available, finding it in higher octanes is sometimes challenging. Just kinda wondering out loud if it would be practical or cost effective to use this to turn ethanol-free 87 into 91.

I looked into this a year or two ago and it seems to be legit - but expensive.

I saw the same show. It was John Force the drag racer that was doing the endorsements.

It is sold at 928 Motorsports so it has to be good. :D
