Unhappy Gas tank leaking under pressure

Tank is leaking from the drain plug in middle of tank underneath as well as from fuel pump area. I removed the plug, sanded surface clean and replaced the o-ring, and it does not seep anymore, also replaced rubber fuel line from pump. drove around and all was well until i let the car sit for a few hours. Now it is leaking... vapor expanding in tank perhaps creating internal pressure ? could my charcoal canister be to blame for this ? is this a common place for a leak ? I need some ideas/suggestions... original pinhole leak has been braised shut and now this... I will re-torque everything i suppose... gas fumes are driving me nuts!

Describe the leak after your fixes. Did you see a leak?

You clearly did some good with your repairs but the gas cap is pretty notorious for stinking things up. For $10 it's worth it to replace unless you have seen actual leaking.

Your charcoal canister is in the right side rear fender. It does not hold any pressure. It's a pass through for the vapors. Doubt that is your problem.

Ugh. Is there anything even over there for the tank to leak save a hole?

Just discovered Another tiny rust hole/crack in the seam weld. Hopefully this is the last one.

Replace the tank don't repair it.
