Cylinder/piston is this correct?
Is this the correct orientation, for a 1982 cylinder and piston install. Long fins down in cylinder and large cut up on piston? They are JE 9.5 cr Pistons.

Looks fine.
I hope you are not using that Autozone SN-rated motor oil in this engine as thats a big heap of trouble. ![]()

Easiest way to remember is your intake valve is always larger than the exhaust valve... the intake is on top of the engine and exhaust is on the bottom.

Ok thanks guys. Just using the autozone oil to whipe on parts to get things to slide together. Will use castrol gtx when I fill it up. Thanks again

Don't use GTX,..........use Brad-Penn as its FAR FAR better in every way.
