Is my clutch fused to the flywheel?
It's been about a year since I took the engine out to replace the Trans. I did not replace the clutch as it was fairly new
Everything's hooked up right as far as I can tell, helperspring is up against the heat exchanger, Etc. When I hook up the cable to the release lever, and depresss the clutch it just sends the helperspring back to its neutral position with a big THUNK and clutch pedal Remains on the floor. It does not move the positioner, hence the throwout, but just the tiniest amount, perhaps 1-2mm which is probably the freeplay between the groooves. The fork is definitely seated in the throwout groove. So what did I do wrong and How do I correct it? Also I have spidermites killing my palm trees. any suggestions for that?!@

Yes, disuse tends to cause a bonding of flywheel, clutch disk, and flywheel into one solidified mass ... under humid conditions, sometimes called "the Dryer Vent into garage where Porsche sleeps Syndrome!" The active ingredients are time & clutch disk dust, humidity, and steel. Leave them alone, and clutches refuse to work after a year or so!

As for the spidermites, you can first try spraying the palm leaves with a water mister. If that doesn't work then a insecticide mixed with the water will do the trick.
