I'm Ready to set my car on the ground and notice that I was sent rear torsion cover seals instead of the felt seals for the torsion caps on the front beam. I do not want to wait a week for them. What and where can I get some material to make them? Will bayyery terminal felt work? Please guys help!!! I'm ready to ride.

Duane,
Well, if the ones you removed from the car were felt, then they weren't original! Original OWA seals are a lightweight, closed-cell, resilient plastic foam, similar to that used in some padded envelopes. ------------------ Warren Hall 1973 911S Targa 1992 Dodge Dakota 5.2 4X4 parts hauler [This message has been edited by Early_S_Man (edited 09-24-2001).] |

They probobly were foam! I'll look for some padded envelopes to cut into circles! Thanks!!!

The ones I just got are indeed foam, not felt. They seem to be a readily-available part and are pretty cheap IIRC, $5/pr or so. Of course that's a lot of money for a little foam donut, but cheap as Porsche parts go...
