Help - need tool immediately
Does anyone have the tool for removing the pins from a Porsche door hinge? I will pay all shipping for a 1 day use of this item.
Thanks, Tom |
towen what does it look like. I don't have a porsche specific one but I have one I have used on my 1980 MB 240D.

it's called a hammer and chisel. an air hammer and chisel bit works better. be careful either way. lay a towel on the upper front of the door to keep it from chipping paint, and have someone support the door as the pins are removed.

A small punch or nail set works good for removing the pin. I had to do this several times while repairing the hinge mechanism.
Like John Walker said support the door before removing the pin. If you don't have someone to hold it put something in front of it that keeps it from swinging around. If you don't the door and the quarterpanel will crimp. [This message has been edited by jester911 (edited 09-24-2001).] |
