Leaking fuel line '87 carrera

I'm in the middle of a suspension refresh and noticed a few drips of gas on the ground in my garage. Seeing as the steering rack is out, it seems like it might make a good time to replace the tunnel lines. Can the lines be pulled from the front of the car? Who makes replacements?

Or you could just repair what's leaking and be back on the road the same day. I have repaired these leaks by cutting out the crimped clamp with a battery powered sawzall, reinserted the cut end of the hose into the barbed end with a hose clamp...done!

Then again, sourcing an entire tunnel line and reinstalling a new one may not be as simple as you might think when you consider that the metal line inside the tunnel is probably welded in place or secured with an impossible support bracket deep inside.

Cheers,

Joe

NO need to replace fuel pipes in the tunnel! Just did this fix on my '80SC last year. Very easy and CHEAP fix. The polyamid plastic fuel pipe you see is bombproof and will last almost forever, don't worry about it. You just replace the rubber hose part.
Here's a link to my post with pics when I fixed it. Good luck!
Stranded. What are fuel line leak repair options on the go?

Highly recommend Len Cummings. His username here is boxstergt. I just got my fuel lines from him and they are exceptional quality. He has delivered exactly as promised and when I had questions about fitment and installation, he answered them promptly and reiterated that he will continue to back his product as long as he is standing.
I cant tell whether you damaged the line while in there or if they failed on their own, but either way, the lines (if original) are 28 years old and you should probably replace them all before any other leak in a more dangerous location.

Yes, Len is THE MAN! Here's a link to a repair part he makes for this very failure!

Also the modern E85 FI hose (alcohol proof) from your local FLAPS is way better than original hose and quite economical. Also use the "NORMA" hose clamps as Len indicates.
