I'd buy a pair of the primed trim covers and paint to match the car.

The painted body colored ones are my favorites.

The body colored would also be my favorite, however, not sure if I can match the paint at reasonable cost.

In my opinion, chrome rings are best with bright window trim. Black just looks lazy to me. BTW, the red seats look good with the the blue. I'm kinda digging that. Marine Blue? Perhaps a shot to show the two colours together is in order... I was/am seriously considering an interior change to a blood red with my blue exterior.

The black trim looks out of place. The Chrome blends in with the headlight, so that is the better of the two. My choice would be painted to match body.

Body color, then chrome, then black, order of preference

Paint them the color of the car.

Why not order a can of $30 color coded paint (Spray Max 2k, with clear coat, for example)
and try painting the black rings to body color. Not much to lose. If that is no good, then stick with chrome.

Chrome would be great if all the other trim were bright. But body-colored is the best choice here.

I think painting the rings to match the body color is the way to go. It is a simple job to prep, prime and paint the rings.
The trim rings on my H4's are painted Guards Red to match the body. ![]() |

Body color for sure. As said above lots of places to get spray cans mixed to match.

body color or chrome. usually less chrome the better in my eyes, but something about how it plays with the glass h4 lens. works for me.

FWIW, if you are going to color match, I prefer using the paintable trim covers rather than painting the black rings. With the paintable covers, no headlight disassembly is needed, and the adjuster screws don't damage the new paint if you need to readjust the lights. Plus if you put the painted covers over the chrome, you can switch back and forth as suits your mood!

I prefer chrome on the older Porsches; yours is a bit newer so either chrome or body color. IMHO black just doesn't work and, I'm sorry, black wheels don't either.
