trying to change my 1995 993 key head. got a new one w a LED light. much brighter. how do remove/install the metal key?

I'm pretty sure you split the old key open using a flathead screwdriver. Then remove the key from the plastic body and transfer it over to the new body.

Once opened there is a little tab on the side which slides into the metal key blade. carefully pry this little tab up and out of its slot to release the metal portion.
