Paint shop recommendation in Alabama?
My '72 911T is close to being ready for paint. Anyone have recommendations for a quality shop in the Montgomery - Birmingham area? Atlanta is a possibility, but it is 2 hrs away.

Give Howard Freeman a shout, I'm sure he can hook you up.

sballard, I was born and raised in Alabama but I live in Georgia now. Unfortunately I can't recommend anyone near you but I can recommend John Holt of Hot Wheels in Marietta. He's worked on every car I own and he has or is currently working on cars for several Pelicans. There are several people that can provide references. He is afflicted with Porsche-itis like the rest of us so it's always good to deal with someone who understands the disease.
There may be someone closer but I would certainly put John on the list for consideration. |

Sorry guys. I guess I was too vague with my question. What I intended to ask was "Can anyone recommend someone to paint my car in this area."

That is what I was answering. John runs a paint and body shop.

John is currently doing Doyle's car. Here is the thread:
The day has finally come: PAINT and RESTO! I'd suggest you PM rattlsnak or Doyle (dshep806) for other references. John also did my non-Pelican buddy's '76.
