fuchs date stamp - what's it look like to you?
I have two 8x16 911 wheels with hard to read date stamps. The ending number on one is 82. What does the other look like to you? Appears like the bottom of an eight and a 2...
The other oddity is the color of the alloy where the white paint is chipped (magnesium like) and the added alloy specifications, subtle difference in the fox head too. Maybe it's the contrast to the white that I am seeing, causing it to appear yellow instead of gray. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1423949263.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1423949282.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1423949307.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1423949326.jpg |
Somewhat evenly date matched set of early 930 rears. 1982, February and March or April (hard to tell if the week is 11 or 17). The part numbers are correct for 930 and are NLA. The Fuchs head looks similar on both just more washed out on one. If you suspect corrosion check them carefully. Even Forged Fuchs can fail.
