Broken air box strap tab :( - how to fix?

I was replacing my worn out air box straps (stock 76 911S) and the left tab on the bottom of the airbox broke off. Dammit.

I did a search and didn't find anything conclusive about repairs. Has anyone been successful in repairing it? And if so, how?

thx

Man its freezing out there! Here it is. Just one screw in there. Looks like I put it just to the side of the old one to avoid the ribbs. Its just a simple piece of sheet metal its been fine since I got the car in 2006

That's a great solution! Thanks for braving the cold for me - yeah it's freezing in my Ohio garage also. And more snow on the way tomorrow....

Hey 930dude -
One more question for you. Did you do this with the airbox attached to the motor? It looks like there is enough room....
thanks

I've moved to using a single bungee. Has lasted longer than any of the straps I have purchased, and only one disconnect instead of two.

If the snow allows moving the trailer home today, I'll take a picture. It isn't pretty, but it has worked.
