Parking brake grip removal

The PO put a polished aluminum grip on the e brake handle on my 86. I want to replace it with a black OEM rubber one, but I'm not sure how to get the aluminum one off..no apparent set screws, etc. Do I just persuade it off with a drift and light hammer?

Thanks

Steve

When I bought my car the PO had put a locking parking brake handle on it. There was a very small set screw on the bottom of the handle took me forever to find it. It was very hard to see as it was on the bottom side. There might be one you just really have to look for it. The factory one I replaced it with did not have a set screw it just slipped on.

A mirror might be helpful.

I looked at the underside with a good flashlight and mirror before posting, did not see a set screw.
