CDI box plug ???
 

I want to check my compression. The fuel pump is shut off, but I can't figure out disconnecting the CDI box, because I have no good image of which plug to disconnect.

First I undid 12-pin plug "A". Got a small click when trying to operate the starter motor, but no starter motor action. I immediately stopped.

Then I tried 13-pin plug "B". No click, and no starter.

What am I doing wrong, or what else do you notice here that might be amiss?

there should be a 3 pin connector under the center of the CDI box that you can pull out.


The PO may have just put loose spade connectors on there so be careful that you don't mix them up if that is the case.

There is a plug on the bottom of the cd box.
Hard to see because it is so close to the frame rail.
You can get a couple of fingers around it and pull straight down.
Don't pull it by the wires.
The other plugs need to go back in.
