Thumbs up Wet Day at DE

DE in the rain!

Rained all day long at the Drivers Ed here ..... but turns out I learned a lot about wet weather driving...and how much the cars can be pushed in the rain.

Here's a few pics of the day.

Great shots.........yeah, it's good to have a couple of wet sessions every once in a while, but only a couple.

What a small run group!! Must be nice, I'm usually out with at least 20 other cars.

regards,

That's another nice thing about the rain-low attendance.

Hey Ed, Nice photos!

What'd you think about the new track surface at Blackhawk, much better eh? Have they finished all the curbs yet?

If you think that run group was small, there was even less in the last few sessions of the day - a lot of folks left after 3 runs. The track never dried up, although there was getting to be a nice "dry line" at the end of the day. But still, at the end of the day one of the guys I was with lost it in 5 and ended up being pulled out of the weeds.

The track surface was great! smooooooth! A few of the markers I used my first times last year were gone, but I replaced most of them - although still not going into 3 consistantly yet (the tree I used last year is gone)

I don't know if the curbs are finished or not.,.I didn't notice any missing .. they had the noise makers at the little spots were you use the edge the track in 1, 2 and 7, but there is still a drop off at the outside of 7.

And BTW, the Pelican DE shirt worked great! I got it on Tuesday night..wore it Wednesday. I didn't take a pic with it on cause I never took off my sweatshirt - it was freezing! But the shirt seemed to work fine!
