wiper relay question
 

I think I've got a wiper relay gone flakey on a 76 911 Targa.

Every once in a while (25% of the time) my wipers take 3-4 swipes when I turn on the headlights. I've already replaced the wiper control on the steering column since that flaked out about a year ago. This all started happening about a month ago and I don't have any other electrical problems (that I know about).

The 3-4 swipes sound suspicously like an issue with the washer circuit since that's what it will do if I activate the washers.

I'll admit that I've not studied the electrical system enough to know if its the relay, but I'm hoping I can guess at it and get some feedback from the experts here... :) Anyone seen random wiper action caused by the relay?
