Houston pelicans...

Where do you guys take your 500+ hp turbo beasties to get them safety inspected? With the new laws coming into effect, I need to take mine in (hasn't been inspected in a few years...). It's increasingly a car that I don't want to hand the keys over to some random dude (the clutch is pretty binary now, the engine idle is fluttery, etc).

Some of you have really difficult cars to drive, who do you have do the inspection/drive?

I get mine done by a shop by my home in the Bear Creek area. Our cars are old enough to be a safety inspection only. The guy who owns the shop is a Porsche guy and understands our concerns. For my most recent inspection, they allowed me to drive the car rather than turning the keys over. I will PM you the spot if interested.

We need to get the cars out together again, waiting for another world cup is too long.

That's the key, they only need to know that it can safely accelerate and then brake, I think I can show them that without the dude taking the car for a 5 minute joyride...stalling it 3 times along the way...like last time

Bear Creek is a bit of a trek for an inspection, but I'll take the name. I can't hide my out of date inspection sticker under the drivers side park windshield wipers anymore
