Speedvision aired it here on the west coast yesterday at one in the afternoon. How awesome. I should have driven the 912 from here to Lime Rock just to watch.

I sort of wish, though, that they hadn't shown Paul Newman absolutely nailing one of the Klub Sport 911s in turn 2. The 911 spun in front of a crowd, and Newmman really had no where to go. Just one of those racin' deals.

I can't believe I missed it a second time.
I turned on the Tele and the guide said it was F1 show. And there it was, the last ten minutes of Rennsport. Does anyone know when this is supposed to air again?

Having attended Rennsport, I was somewhat disappointed in the TV show (even though I saw myself in the background twice!). They spent WAY too much time on the 956/962/935 'race'. The program would have been much better had they focused on more of the individual cars and the stories behind them, as well as more driver interviews. As an example, the interview of Jacky Ickx by Derrick Bell was probably 15 minutes long - but they only showed about 30 seconds of it on the show! Oh well, it's tough to look a gift horse in the mouth.

Well, I wasn't lucky enough to get clean across the country to see the Reunion, so the TV program was much appreciated.
If you missed it, I sure it will be re-run about 50 times this winter.

BTW...Does anyone know what is ailing Sam Posey? His hands shake like a leaf. Parkinson's disease? (god forbid)

Just to chime in with my $0.02...

Having also attended the event I have to agree with the post above that the SV show left a lot to be desired. The commentators and images just did not capture the excitement, history or drama of the weekend. While I do appreciate SV's efforts, I wonder if they rushed it into production and therfore sacrificed some of the quality. I am tempted to edit down the 6 hours of footage I personally filmed and make my own special.

Now from a different perspective, my Dad wasn't able to attend the event and thought the show was great.

Maybe I was just spoiled by being there!

Happy Motoring...

Our company just bought SpeedVision. (not the name though). Rumor has it that it will be renamed something else.

Given enough input, maybe I can forward via internal e-mail what we want. Huh?

That's a real shame. My sister in-law is fighting the same miserable thing.

I met Sam many years ago at a m/c race in CA.
He's a fan of all motorsports. A mild mannered fellow without a mean bone in his body.

I live and breathe SV, especially F1. I usually watch about 15 of the 24 hours of Le Mans. (Was that 4 minute rear end change by Audi/Porsche not amazing!). I have noticed SOMETHING about Sam also. I hope what I am hearing is WRONG.
