I'm about to install a Dansk single-in/single-out sport muffler on my 84. Do I need to use a sealant on the gasket? If so, any suggestions?
Thanks.

Nope on the sealer, you might want to use some anti-sieze on the bolts unless you are using stainless.
Good luck.

"Nope" as in don't use any, or "nope" as in you don't know?
Thanks, Marc.

It only makes a mess and it's not necessary if the surfaces are straight and clean. When they leak, in my experience, it's because they're not straight. If they're not straight, then sometimes 'goop' will seal them. There's goop now that does a good job of expanding and sealing.

While I agree with the above, Permatex Ultra-copper sealant works very nice on header to block gaskets, I use it on my V8 cars all the time and used it on the P-car "just in case" besides it's an ounce of prevention that is easliy removed if need be.
