new problem widow switch
Hello,
This is a continuation of a thread I posted last eve so please bear with me on this....I had a question about wiring my window switches and got the questions answered, many thanks. I put it back together and one worked for a moment and then stopped..... I had blown fuse so I decided to recheck the wiring . I Changed the fuse and did the recheck on the wires and found two crossed, changed the wires etc. Now both are working but the passenger switch on the drivers side goes up when it should go down....I tried reversing the double wires but there is no directional change. Any thoughts.....will it cause any problems? Regards and thanks for the help, Ben All this to change a simple interior door handle :mad::mad: |
Hey I looked for my notes this morning and couldn't put my hands on them. I did the same thing. You could try turning the switch upside down. :)

If you look at 86 911 Targa's post he has numbers on the switch posts. I would consider trying to match the wire colors you have to the ones everyone else posted. I bet you will see a pattern. |
swap the two middle wires.

Yes, swaping the two middle wires will change the direction, these two wires are the ones that connect to the motor, as shown in this diagram:
