Seriously, I doubt my system would keep up with 100 degree days. I have noticed many modern cars don't either, maybe for eco-mileage reasons, etc. It's rare to get in an uber and have it very cool, in spite of the vehicle's age. Good luck, Dave |

But, to your point, without good window tint nothing can keep up. |
This morning here in OKC the lowest temp was at 5:48 AM, so just before sunrise. It was a balmy 78. It is 99 right now. Additional condensers on a 80s Carrera are just a necessity in that heat.
My wife's 2017 Macan is amazing. She returned from an errand and parked in the garage. 30 minutes later we went to dinner in the summer heat. The car was hot and the engine temp was still full temp. The air was blowing cooler by the time she finished backing out of the garage. It was blowing cold by the time we got to the street and my driveway is not but a few cars long. Porsche has indeed figured out AC finally. |

I live in Miami and have had several AC systems in my 911. If you want better performance add a condenser shroud to your fans and watch what happens. Just bend an aluminum sheet and cut holes where the fans are.

Hi Ryce,
I considered a fan shroud, but did not want to impede engine cooling air flow. Maybe it would, maybe it wouldn't, but that was my thinking. I just might try it, though. Thanks, Dave |
