Question Uploading pictures to the board

Many of you upload pictures with arrows, circles, or text added to them. What program(s) do you use that allow you to make those helpful additions to the pictures?

Thanks.

Any graphic editing program wil do. If you are using a Microsoft flavor of windows, try the "paintbrush" program. THis is as basic as it gets.

The trick is to get a program that allows you to edit as well as to resize (which paintbrush will do) and to change the resolution. (which paintbrush will no do). By changing he resolution you can shrink the file size of the picture to get it to upload.

A good shareware (free) program to do this is LView. Go to www.winfiles.com for all of you free program needs... Been using this site for many years.

Chris, while we're at it. Where do you get those "arrows" to paste on the pictures ? I just use paintbrush, and draw arrows. But I'd like have those arrows to post.

You mean like a graphical or "artistic" arrow? Probably from clipart or there are many sites out there that contain libraries of graphic icons. Do a google or yahoo search on HTML BUTTONS or HTML ARROWS. FOr instance I came up with http://www.argonet.co.uk/html/arrows/ that contains a whole library of pre-drawn arrows that you could paste into a picture.

(Though I think that drawing them in is just fine)
