SC alternator wiring

I have a 914/6 conversion with a 2.2 with carbs. I had to take my alternator out to have it replaced and have lost my reference wiring pics from when I took it apart. The alt I am using is from a 911 SC...the pics below show you what I have...Wiring is not my strenght...can someone chime in and let me know where each of the wires go? I believe h B+ is where the power (red wires) attach...its the wire in my pic that has a boot on it. I am not sure where the little blue wire attaches and where the ground wire goes.

Blue goes up top ground is across from the positive

If it a Bosch alternator blue goes up top, you have the positive correct and the brown(ground) goes across from the positive

alternator

Ok so are you saying I cannot attach the ground to the stud I have circled in brown in my picture? I have buttoned everything up like that and I got the engine started and running...now the system is not charging...put a meter on the battery and it reads 11.84...the volt gauge is just a shade below12 and the red battery charging light is illuminated in my dash gauge between the temp and pressure readings... it stays illuminated even when I bump up the revs above 3000rpm.

Post 3 is wrong so he didn't get the help he needed.

The blue wire goes to the bottom lug on the right side. ground goes to the top right. red+ goes to top left post.

Exactly...reason why I posted where the wires actually go to... Do not let the orientation of the photo confuse you... ;)

Since I'm installing a new alt (Bosch) in my 83 SC Cab, I found this post on the process of verifying my wiring. Post #3 is absolutely correct. In fact, you can see the posts have a stamping near them that read B+ and D-. B+ is the red wire (positive) and D- is ground (brown wires) leaving the unlabeled post as 61, the blue wire. Wachuko's alt has the posts label + and -. Hopefully this brings closure and helps others in the future!
