CA smog exemption clarification needed
I was hoping someone could clarify something for me.
Now i know a 1975 model year car is exempt from smog testing in CA. However, say you are registering said vehicle to an address located in an 'enhanced testing' area such as San Francisco, LA, Sacramento....etc . Is a 1975 model year car still exempt? The below statement makes me a bit unsure.. -- 8. What is an Enhanced Area? An Enhanced Area is an urban region designated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as not being in attainment with federal health standards for ozone. Vehicles registered in an Enhanced Area are subject to a treadmill emissions test on a dynamometer and may require testing at a STAR-certified station. --
