3.6 cis
Can anyone tell me about the major differences between 3.6 cis and 3.3 cis on the turbo's...regards jer
|
3.3 is CIS, 3.6 isn't (it's EFI).
|
I thought the early 90's 3.6 turbo used cis???regards jer
|
The 964 Turbo 3.3 and 3.6 are CIS motors.
The 993 Turbo is an EFI/DME motor. |
What? Is 964 3.6 turbo equipped with CIS??
You sure? |

Is it the same unit cis on both?? anyone know the differences...ie. diff injectors ,metering....are they interchangable///thanks jer

Jer,
It appears that there is a lot of interchangeability on the two motors as far as the injection system is concerned. A large number of the parts are the same for the two different motors. A few things I notice are different. The M30.69 964 Turbo 3.3L motor and the M64.50 964 Turbo 3.6L motor use different injector valves, throttle body, and warm-up valve. Also looks like the Turbo 3.6 uses a vaccuum valve not used on the 3.3L. I'm just looking at a parts diagram, so take that for what it's worth. ;) |
So.....the esteemed "SC" model has the lengendary 3-liter turbo (930) engine, and also has a turbo fuel system, huh?
With hardware like that, those cars could rule the world! |

I'll have no part of this SCWDP craziness. I was just recently reprimanded by some newcomer for making tongue-in-cheek comments towards the SC faithful. I surely do not want to offend the newcomers again!!!!! ;) :p |
Thanks the information supplied is much appreciated....regards jerSmileWavy
