Shifts way better when hot!!
Yesterday during a very hot day in San Diego I was working on my 911 A/C. When I took it for a test drive I noticed the temp gauge was way up to the 3rd bar. But I also noticed that the 915 shifted better than ever. Would go right into first every time at a stop. What the heck is going on? During normal operating temp, it shifts like a normal older 915 with it hard to get into first from time to time. Maybe I will switch from Swepco 212 to the Kendall?

Mine is the opposite :/ Mine shifts like butter when cold, but once it gets god and hot, some of the gears get really tight and hard to shift into.

I noticed that Kendall is better for cold shifting. Swepco had to get nice and warm.

I removed SWEPCO and put in Kendall. Shifts much better cold, and pretty much the same hot.

I'm running Kendall and mine shifts much better on warm days, better still when hot, but better all around than whatever the PO was running.
Have not tried SWEPCO but have a jug of it in the garage so may try it out just to compare. |
