3.2 Engine compartment decals?

I know Eagleday makes a couple but are they all available anywhere (I know the pic is an early car, if someone has one of an original 84-86 as a guide it would be great) ?

85 Carrera engine decals

Gary,

A snap or two of my engine bay, all original one-owner 50k, hope it helps….. there was an old thread from someone in Germany (I think) who had reproduced the blue sticker on the intake but I haven't seen it in a very long time, wish I had ordered one.

I have a blank spot on the far left, no sign a sticker was ever there.

Paul

While we're at it, anyone know where I could possibly get the emissions sticker on the bottom side of the deck lid? I have seen them for up to '86, but cannot find one for my '87...

I have some of the blue decals, and I'm not in Germany.

I'm pretty sure the DME 911s did not have the timing decal on the fan strap..timing was not adjustable and the decal was not needed.

I think you are correct DB, there was nothing on there! Looking at the pics above, I just need the four across the bottom. I have no heater blower and don't care about the blue one..

Thanks again YP, after I rebuild and bead blast (and test the intake system for leaks) i'll put the decal on with me as the Inspector and put a thin clear coat on it for posterity!

I knew if I said "I don't care" about one of them someone would pop up with it!

The clear coat might not work as these are paper just like the originals, and most are a bit ragged, Good luck with it.

I planned on experimenting on something else first, worst case i'll clear the box then stick her on there, but I think if done carefully (very light coating, fast drying) it may work...

Blue sticker….

Yellowperil,

I'd love a sticker if you can spare one, and would be more than happy to reimburse you for it, can I send you a pm?

I'll have to invent a convincing German name and signature for it, don't think I can decipher my old one!

Was thinking about Hans Georg Schultz in honor of Sgt. Schultz of Hogan's Hero's fame, since I look at my engine compartment at times and say "I know nothing….."

Sorry to get off topic!

I think I used to be Hans Joachim or maybe Joachim Wilkenhock in another life. So maybe I qualify for having that blue decal.

Blue decal

These two pics show my before and after decals. I had to add the two dots over the "U" later on a second batch. This took place a couple of years ago, and sadly that car is the one described in my post "t-boned" last summer.

By the way I like the Sgt Shultz idea.
