A/C diagnostic check.

I just did the check with gauge set (new compressor, charged) and low side with motor running was 0 and high side was at 225. Manifold gauges off and LP port and HP ports open with motor running. Now I have to find the leak! That is the hard part.

Nick,

Lets' start with the basics, naturally...

1) Was system properly evacuated.
2) What type of refrigerant and how much did you put in

3) When you said you had 0 on the low and 225 on the high
A) Was the compressor clutch engaged
B) Where both of your service set valves on the gauge set closed
C) If your service hose set has couplers attached to the service side fittings
on the vehicle, if they have valves as well, where they open
D) What was the outside air temperature when you did this

4) When you say "Manifold gauges off and LP port and HP ports open with motor running"... please clarify what you are doing. Do you mean you disconnected the service set couplings from the car. The service set valves were off?
