Heading for Texas-missing hose?

Hi,
First plea for assistance.
1974 911. Had the engine out to replace all the fuel and vacuum hoses. Replaced the intake sleeves and installed new injectors. Car is running well but I noticed a few drop of oil in the driveway. Never leaked before. I found a missing hose near the oil filler. Searched the forum and looked at parts diagrams but can't figure out where it should go. Leaving for the HCR tomorrow morning and could use some help. Picture below.
Thanks,
Tony

Missing a small curly hose running from oil tank to the side of the airbbox. Fumes are from oil tank and sucked into intake and burned

Thanks for the quick reply Bruce.
I do have the curly hose going from the filler neck to the side of the airbox. This one is a bit lower and slightly toward the firewall.

I looked again, I believe it is the crankcase ventilation hose from the "triangle of death". It will probably be difficult to replace with the CIS airbox in the way. It goes back in behind the airbox and down to a fitting in the triangle.

Thanks Jack. Not good news. Can I add a short hose and a K&N breather filter? Is the other end of where this hose goes going to be an issue being open?
Thanks,
Tony

You could just cap off the opening by the oil fller with a short piece of hose to keep oily fumes from coming out of the oil tank. With the hose missing on the other end you will get oil fumes/oil coming out of the fitting in the triangle area and will get the area around the fitting and engine compartment a bit oily on that long of a trip.

SAVED! Lucky me. Found the big cloth braided hose laying by the side of the engine. I must have forgotten to attach it after installing the engine. Thanks for the help. I'll be heading for Texas tomorrow. Hope to make it to Phoenix on the first day. Life is good!
Thanks,
Tony

If that is the only part you left off, you did OK. could have been something much worse.. That is personal experience speaking....

What part of the great state of Texas are you heading for ?? Good luck and a safe journey.

Heading for the Hill Country Rallye in Kerrville. This will be the 4th visit to the Hill Country. Traveling with several other cars from California. We take a nice scenic route out and blast across 10 to get back. Here's a picture of the car when I got it in Oct:
Thanks for all the input,
Tony

I love texas and I was able to install that hose with the engine in the car, but it was really really rough.

Welcome to Kerrville. We live there and love the roads. Two lanes with 70mph limit. Interstate with an 80 mph limit. Lots of twisties and elevation change. Hope to see you here but mines two new to do the run. Check out Grape Juice when you get to town. If you need a garage let me know.
