I am having a similar problem with my tank and fuel system. I dryed out my tank completely to have in painted. Now I have filled it again and no fuel is coming out of the feed line (the larger diamter line) I have removed the filter in the bottom and cleaned it all. With the filter out, the line is free (Blew it through with the air pistol) Now the tankfilter/bottom plug is installed again and the line is plugeed again!!
I donīt want to fill the tank all up, can anyone inform me if there must be a certain amount of fuel in the tank for it to work? I have had 10 liters in without result.

Both of you take a look at the pictures in this link: Fuel Tank Restoration !! Many Pictures

Atech, the return line can be cleared using a stiff wire or small diameter drain auger spring. However, as you can see if you looked at the link, the gunk will be pushed back into the swirl pot and you will need to continue flushing to get all the remnants out. Once you get a flow out of the return port, you should be able to continually loosen/flush the debris. The return pipe is metal so damage to it using a tool for clearing will be limited. Once you probe into the swirl pot, however, you don't want to force too much.

Soren_Bunk, two possibilities. No fuel from the out could be the swirl pot is still gunked up and fuel isn't getting to the outlet port or, the openings in the ring of the outlet port are still clogged and inserting the filter covers the one opening that air passes through. Have you looked at the filter screen closely? Are the openings near the threaded portion open? Are you using a proper gasket when installing the screen filter?
