See if you have 12VDC at 49 on the relay, if you can. If it IS there and yet noting is coming out when you turn signal, then you are down to 49a run between the relay and the EF Switch or the Turn Signal Relay itself, most likely. If 12VDC isn't at 49 at the relay, then you work upstream from there.

Mystery solved. For what ever reason I decided to re plug in my old emergency flasher, to see if there would be any change. And just like that, it worked as designed.

The flasher that i purchased new from our host, either was for another year or not sure what.

The only reason why i changed it was the broken tangs that snap in in place in the dash.

Earlier in this thread - around post 8 I recognized that the new switch I bought was different from my original. You might want to read from there on to see the solution. I am not sure if you have the same issue, but it may be worth checking.

Thats what peaked my curiosity to try my old switch. I didnt think i needed to worry about it since i purchased it from the host as a porsche part specific to my year make. So what’s the solution for a replacement?

Post 9 and 10 above. Definitely verify that the switch you bought is like the new one I bought first!

Please post your speedo Q on a different thread...to keep this one about the EFS. Thanks

SpyderMike, is it correct that the EFS switch is off when the button is in the "out" position and it is activated when it is pressed in? Currently my EFS is operating in the reverse.

Mine flash in the out position and are off in the in position.
