Whats going on with Fuchs
What is going on with the price of Fuchs?
The 8" and 9" are going through the roof, even the six and sevens dont look to be that plentiful. |
Sorta makes Wheel Enhancement's prices for refinished used FUCHS look reasonable, and I am not joking when I say this.
Below is an estimate of what a non-thinking Pcar owner might get himself into if he didn't think ahead and decided that, after polishing his 6"/7"ers by hand he will NEVER do that again especially with Al Reed around. (Did I mention non-thinking and done on impulse?) = 9"ers $1,000.00 (used, need repolish) = 7"ers $260.00 (used, need repolish) = Refinish ~$500.00 (Al Reed, shipping) = Dunlops (as example) ~$525.00 (mounted and balance) ======= Total: $2,285.00 = Deduct: sell current 6"/7"ers -$450.00 (polished w/75% tires) ======= Total: $1,835.00 polished w/new tires What does this tell me? Our hypothetical Pcar owner did not think ahead, did not use a calculator, and managed to bleed a bit here and there such that the patient could have gone outpatient instead of intensive care! Oh well. They might give Jack Olsen's wheels a run for their money... John |
Ah yes, John. . if you only had the patience to think ahead, you would not end up a bleeding patient. ;)

I just picked up a pair of 9's the other week. I already have 6,7,and 8's with black centers and polished rims. I am finishing the 7's and 9's to rs style and am going to sell the 6's and 8's. (I'm not going to get into the refinishing testamonials). I would like to sell them as a set since they are matched. Let me know if your interested.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploads/552255.jpg
