rear left wheel if further to front than rear right by 7mm. 911sc

And on the rear the car does not appear to have had any damage.rear Fenders look original.
What can be the reason of so dramatic difference. Left side is 2271 from front to rear wheel. Looks like right wheel is moved back 6mm.
any ideas?
Car had an old front right collision

My 79 SC's body sits about 1/2 an inch further to one side from center over the wheels (right if I recall correctly). After some deliberation, I determined that some Fridays, Franz and Fritz decided "good enough" was fine and headed from the the Porsche factory with a few wee mistakes.

Oso--I think the OP is stating the wheel is to the front of the wheel opening by the 7mm.

erio--could you post pics to help us understand what you mean?

If it was in an accident, then that would explain it...

It doesn't take much to tweak it that little...

See ovals on rear springplates, it's likely due to alignment.

Take it to a good alignment shop, they should be able to fix you up (see slots in spring plate above).
