Bentley Errors

*Edit: Title should read: "Bentley"....Moderator fixed it, thank you!

I did a search to determine if this was covered, and I only saw a few short posts about errors in the Bentley.

I think we should start a thread of known errors. I have none to start with, but hopefully those who know ill add them here.

First error I've noticed is the spelling of Bentley... :)

I see reference to the Interior Lights Wiring Diagram, but my book does not seem to have one.

Crap! Fat fingers, typing too quickly. I wish I could edit my Thread Title.

Lol, that feature is available if you PM an admin I believe.
Sorry to have a laugh at your expense. I just couldn't help
myself... ;)

This is for the 993 manual but still wanted to add to this thread. Page 55-12 has incorrectly labeled items and is missing a bunch of components. I contacted Bentleys a few weeks ago http://www.bentleypublishers.com/feedback. They said they would look into it and issue an update if necessary.

Many Torque Settings are off by one or two digits.

Example, Caliper to Control arm 19MM bolt it say 56 then later 58 Ft Lbs.

Oil Tank and Case, 31 or 32 Ft lbs.

Good thing is you can call them to verify anything. Haynes too.

I got 3 sources and when they all agree, its pretty safe.

Some publisher openly admit and publish them, but I ran into one that push his 3rd edition by stating that mistake have been corrected but will not list them independently :rolleyes::rolleyes:
