Mystery leak. Your opinion?
My 87 has developed a small, but intermittent, oil leak at the left front corner. It does not appear to be comming from the valve cover gasket or the return tubes. It is intermittent. The oil level is kept at a mid point between the marks. Nothing else different. This is a difficult area to see and I have had no luck spotting the source. Cleaned area thoroughly and looked, etc. etc. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

Check all the little (8 or 10mm?) nuts that hold the chain cover in place, and all the fittings for the chain tensioner. Use a clean white tissue and you can see if one is seeping somewhere...

Chuck,
Check the plug at the forward end of the cam housing spray bar gallery ... you might need a mirror on an extension 'handle.'
