Racing Seat Fitment Question
Does anyone know if the side-mount brackets for a Recaro Pole Position will work with a Momo, Sparco, or OMP seat without modification to either the seat or the bracket?
Thanks in advance. |

generally one of the hole sets is elongated so from what ive seen they are pretty interchangeable.

Basically what I'm doing is putting my 914/6 back together. I have a Momo seat out of my racecar, and Patrick Motorsports makes a pair of side mount brackets for Recaro Pole Positions that allow them to bolt to the factory 914 sliders and tip bracket. It would be ideal if the side mounts that Patrick Motorsports makes would work on my free Momo without modification. However, even if I have to slot the holes a little bit that would be fine, I guess..... http://www.patrickmotorsports.com/part/recaro-seat-mount-bracket-set-to-914/ |

Even if the brackets fit the holes in the Momo seat, is the Momo seat the same width as the Recaro seat? I imagine the holes in the brackets that mount to the 914 slider line up only if the seat is the correct width.

That's a good point. I'd like to believe they are the same, but I don't really know for sure.
However, I am not above making spacers to take up the missing width or slightly bending them outward if the MoMo is wider. |

I'm almost certain that Recaro, Momo and Sparco all use the same front to back dimension on their mounting holes (you can almost certainly prove this by searching the manufacturers sites and looking for dimensioned drawings). Width will vary amongst them but I've used spacers between the bracket and the seat to accommodate narrower seats, I've also elongated bottom mount holes to widen the spacing when needed.
