Need pics of something between between sun visors

Hi,

I just recently purchased a 1984 911 Carrera 3.2 and i'm trying to figure out what supposed to be on the roof between sun visors (see attached picture). Any pictures would be really helpful.

That is the autoheat interior temperature sensor. In '86 they relocated it to behind the dash.

Hmmm, it looks like you're missing the trim cover that goes over it.

EDIT - Since the cover itself is no longer available, I bet that black plate was a previous owner's half-ass attempt to create their own plate.
