Antenna Replacement - '82 911 SC?
I'm looking for an antenna replacement for my '82 911. I suspect this has been asked many times but my search results aren't getting me what I want. I'd like something as close to OEM as possible. I'd prefer not to have to hack something together in other words. If I had to, I could live with a short fixed mast.
Thoughts? Regards, Pat Arnold Last edited by pcarenthuz; 07-15-2015 at 07:29 AM.. Reason: typo |

1981 911SC Manual Antenna Replacement
![]() Is yours manual or electric? I had a shop change my manual antenna. They found a nice, used one for me as an exact replacement. The Hirschman above was the closest I could find, but as I recall, I could only find it being sold in Europe. It looks pretty close, but it wasn't quite the same as the one that came with the car. If your antenna was on the drivers' side, good luck on installing. It is really a PIA. The shop I took it to said they had a 'trick' to install it, but I don't know what they did.

Hey there, sorry. Electric or manual --a key point! Mine is electric on a USA car therefore on the right side.

I found a replacement Hirschmann electric antenna on Amazon, but haven't had the energy to replace my old one yet.

Banned but not out, yet..

Replaced mine with a Hirshman electric on Amazon and it took half an hour. Probably one of the easiest repairs you can do. And I am all thumbs.
