Porsche Crest Is this a stock color...

Guys,

Just sold the 97-targa and am looking for a coupé. I came across this car in Germany: It's a 96 210 kW C2 with 80tkm.

Anyone knows this color? Is it a factory color? Or "Sonderfarbe"?

All comments are welcome!! (Shalle I buy it? Vote!!!)

I think that it is a stock color, because I have seen it before. I don't know the name though...

It looks like a blue that was available in the '70's (mid '70's ?). I've seen a coupe (with "Carrera" script on the side, '73 ? - '74 ?) locally, in that color.

I think riviera blue is waht i call RS- or CS-blue and is lighter then "my" car. Compare:

Riviera blue, and:

"My" car

Did Porsche Riviera blue on 993's "of the shelf"?

I am still not sure, I have contacted Porsche .... Car lloks good huh?

I know this car (only 9500 km) and again I have the feeling that "my" car is lighter:

This is a '96 993 and a stock '96 color was Riviera Blue. That is what the car looks like to me. Check for the paint code (look at the sticker under the trunk lid) to confirm. It is a very cool color, but definately not subtle.

Hmmmmm, it also may be in the tollerance of the used digital camera's. I did not yet see the car "live"

Funny thing is that everybody likes this color, but nobody buys it...

Supposedly Jerry Seinfeld's 993 Twin Turbo in Riviera Blue. No that there's anything wrong with that...

Maybe This

Porsche had a color back in the 70's and 80's called "Porsche Royal Blue". I painted my racecar that color. It has the same paint code as "Arrow Blue" that Porsche produces now (Paint to sample) This may be the color. I was debating on Rivera Blue or Porsche royal blue but saw the two together and the Royal blue looked much better. The paint code is L305. The pictures of my car look a little lighter than what the color really is. It is a stunning color. When I order a new Porsche....It will be Arrow Blue (Porsche Royal blue) . I'll try and post a picture of a Rivera next to a royal blue. In the mean time here is mine.

Not only is it a factory color, it was used for a Porsche commercial, on a 993.
You must see this Porsche's car color commercial .

Riviera Blue it is...although in certain parts of North Carolina it might be referred to as "Petty Blue"...
