Suggestions/feedback on rear seat cushions?
Hey team,
I realize many (most) of you don't ever use your rear seats. However, I do sometimes, and decided I wanted them to be comfortable for the rugrats. The old bottom cushions (horsehair? coconut fiber?) had given up long ago, and were an uncomfortable, smelly mess. I recovered some 2" foam (you can see it in between the seats) on the driver side and it came out a little puffy (disregard the seam you can see; I'll fix that.) Yes it is comfy, though now has a little marshmallow look. Passenger side in the pic is original and looks more like what the seats looked like before I did anything. It's also how most of your rear seats look based on what I've seen on this forum. Any thoughts or opinions on -- (a) proceed as-is with the other side and have a pair of marshmallows in the back seat vs (b) use shorter foam, and give up a little comfort for style? ![]()

I was going down that rout of foam and decided to get it down professionally.
I had Tony from Autobahn Interiors, LLC in CA make me a set. Arrived yesterday. They arequite firm but comfy. Foam covered in hessian / burlap material. and they are flat surfaces with the edges rebated. here are his details. Tony Garcia Autobahn Interiors, LLC 858-453-2400 office |

If it were me and I had passengers I would go with the stay puffed look and redo them when seats are no longer in use.
