Carpet after center console removal on SC?
 

OK, I can handle removing the console from my 83 SC but what am I left with after I remove it? Am I in for a whole new carpet set? I like the empty space but I am not sure what I will be left with after I get it out. Anything I can fab or stretch? I would assume there will be some holes for the AC stuff.

You will have carpet on the tunnel but it has been slit in a couple of places to accommodate wires. I just snugged mine together and glued it together and it looks, let's say, ok. Not perfect, but ok since when I drive I don't look there. You will also have a couple of round holes in the black plastic may behind the carpet. I just sneaked a couple of black vinyl pieces I had around under the holes and it looks, ok. If you want perfect, then you will probably have to go for a full kit. I kept the console so if I ever put it back to stock, it's easy.
