15x8 Fuchs on narrow body 911

Can a narrow body 911 fit 15x8 Fuchs in the rear by just rolling the fenders, or is flaring an absolute necessity?

Thanks.

I couldn't even get 15x7's with 225/50's to fit without rolling the fender lips. It seems to always be the right rear flare that gives you problems. Good luck, but I think it's going to take more than luck.

I had Pirelli P-6 205/60s on 7"x15" fuchs --front and back-- and they tucked at all four corners --but just barely-- with the fenders rolled. When I went to a cheaper (read: more ballooney) tire, the tires rubbed quite frequently, and on one side more than the other.

The old photo (below) shows a P-6 on the 7"x15" before I lowered the car to where the height of the rolled fender was even with the treads of the tires.

Based on my experience, I can't imagine 8" rims --of similar offset-- fitting on a narrow body without problems. Of course, you could go with low profile tires that stretch inward and MIGHT give you the clearance you need, but I'm not sure what the performance or aesthetic consequences will be of doing that.

Good luck!
