Does anyone have any idea what this harness is used for or what car it belongs to? I got it w/ a 930S oil cooler, but none of the end plugs match those on the cooler and it appears to be a much more complicated harness than the cooler needs. I will try to include a picture of all the end plug/fittings of the harness to aid in its identification.
On the left, is a 12 point plug where 9 of the positions are occupied w/ receivers for pins. The item on the extreme right is a round black fuse set in a receiver and the various other plugs include a small translucent white round four point receiver and a translucent white rectangular three prong plug. There are other single wires w/ single connectors. Thanks for any help. The part number on the harness is 911.612.157.07 and it says : Leonische Drahtwerke Gepr. : ^^08 JGL

Don't think it has anything to do with the oil cooler. My guess is the cable running from the fuse box along with the round relay to the cruise control lever and ECU. Looks like good donor material.

Ingo,
Can you translate the notation on the tag and what does harness #157 do? Is it in the front of the car? What year application? Thanks for any information. Joe |

Tempomat is speed control, Drahtwerke is wire works, and Leonische is the name of the company. Gepr. I'm not positive about, but probably is production date (geprodzuiert?, not sure that is the right past tense of production).

Gepr. is the short form of GEPRÜFT and means tested. For the rest Tim is right on.
I can't seem to find 911.612.157.07 as part number anywhere but I found various numbers like 911.612.157.XX where XX was 11 or 12. They all were harness #157 (cruise control harnesses) from the late 80's. That's what made me assume that your harness is something very similar. Maybe someone else knows for sure.

It looks like a steering column harness, i.e. it hooks up to turn signal switches, cruise control, etc., but I can't tell you year or model. I also can't find the part number.

According to the parts catalog it is the cruise control harness specific to a 1984 Carrera. 85 on have a different part number
